What is the Directory of Creatives?

The Directory of Creatives is a searchable online platform for visual artists and creative practitioners who live or work in Merseyside.

Create a profile to showcase your work, share your artistic practice, highlight work for sale, advertise creative services, and connect with other creatives.

Visitors contact creative practitioners directly, allowing you to keep 100% of any sales, commissions or workshop fees.

Who can join?

The Directory is open to visual artists and creative practitioners who live or work in Merseyside, whether you're emerging, established, studying, or returning to your practice.

Do I need to live in Merseyside?

No. You can join if you either live or work in Merseyside.

What can I include in my profile?

Your profile can include:

Your name or artist name.
Up to two Merseyside locations (where you live and/or work).
Up to five creative categories describing your visual arts practice.
Up to three images of your work.
Links to your website and up to three social media accounts.
Information about work for sale, prints, commissions, and whether you're available for hire.
An option to let other creatives know you're open to connecting or collaborating.

We will ask you to provide a postcode to verify that you live or work in Merseyside. Your postcode is used for verification purposes only and will not be displayed on your public profile.

Full submission guidelines, including image requirements, are provided when you join.

Can I sell work through my profile?

Yes. You can include links to your website, online shop or gallery, allowing visitors to purchase your work or contact you directly about commissions and enquiries.

Liverpool Artists' Network does not process sales or charge commission. All enquiries and transactions take place directly between you and the buyer, allowing you to keep 100% of your sales, work and commissions fees.

How do I join?

Once you have purchased a monthly or annual membership, you will receive a Google Form to complete. Please note that you will need a Google account to access and submit the form.

After we receive your completed form and images, your profile will be added to the Directory of Creatives within 5 working days.

To ensure you receive your full membership period, we will add an additional 5 working days to the end of your subscription to cover the time taken to create your profile.

How much does membership cost?

Membership costs £35 per year or £3.50 per month and includes your own searchable online profile and access to exclusive member benefits.

Membership is offered as a recurring subscription and will automatically renew until cancelled. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

What is included with membership?

Membership includes:

A searchable online profile in the Directory of Creatives.
Member Socials - Directory members are invited to regular members-only socials designed to encourage informal peer support, discussion and connection across the network. These events also give you the opportunity to meet Josie Jenkins and Colette Lilley in person and draw on their experience of building and running artist-led initiatives, studio networks and exhibition projects across the region.
Zooms Sessions - We also run “Ask Us Anything” Zoom sessions - structured online sessions where members can bring questions about their practice, professional development, opportunities, or navigating the local art scene.
We offer a minimum of four of these member-focused sessions per year (a mix of in-person socials and online Zoom sessions), and we remain flexible in responding to what Directory members need, so additional support may be offered where appropriate.

Can I cancel my membership?

Yes. You can cancel your membership at any time by logging into the Manage Subscription page.

Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period.

Please note that subscription payments are non-refundable.
